I realise you have probably done this but I'll mention it anyway, Have you turned on location service on the phone.  I have the Galaxy S5 and it connects to mine ok. Just thought I'd post something, sorry if it sounds obvious Smiley Tongue

Oh and maybe Bluetooth turned on as well.

Yea I turned on location from my drop menu but it didn't work. I went to
settings and found location but seen no option to change any location
settings. Where did you go on your phone to change the location services?
And thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it. This not connecting problem
is driving me nuts.

Just enabling Location from the dropdown menu should be enough. I've had a look at some other posts and other suggestion are to check the "Always Connected" option is on in the FitBit App itself. Another one that seemed to work was to have the Fitbit app actually running and not completely closed (running in background is ok)

You might also turn off your phone and restart it maybe something is blocking things I've also noticed on previous updates for the fitbit app a messgae pops up telling me an update was applied and restart of the phone maybe required.

I tried restarting then I Uninstalled app and reinstalled with no luck. I'm
not sure what the problem is i emailed support so maybe that can help. Just
really annoying the reason I bought is the thing I can't do.

Do you have notifacations enabled? For location in the pull down stairs bat there is a teardrop that says location under it. If it is not there then it can be added or go through the phone settings.

Hey rich. I am having the same issue with my S6 I just didnt quite understand your wording of "pull down stairs bat there is a teardrop that says location under it" are you refering to the quick tab location setting on the galaxy? I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Finally got the connected GPS working on the Samsung Galaxy S5.

There is a call and text notification settings in the Fitbit phone app under devices. Just tap on the device, and you will see call and text notification settings. I turn on call, text and calendar notifications by selecting which app you want to use for each notification.

And you also need to turn on the notification on the watch, swipe down from main screen.

Hope this helps.....

I have a blaze... and I've gone for a run and a bike both times it synced with phone and started and then disconnected... it's really disappointing... any suggestions... it's synced, I visually confirm before starting... and my stats don't show (which is why I got it and traded in my running watch)... yesterday's run only registered my first km... 😡

Yes @cc whim connected GPS uses the notification services.

I find on my S5 I need to Swipe unwanted apps out of memory to free up enough space.
