Constant issues with Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

1.  Having issues with synching with my Samsung 4Active, even though I have restarted my phone, my Blaze and the Bluetooth connections on several occasions.  Have to resort to logging onto my laptop using the dongle.  This is sometimes a pain when I don't always have my laptop to hand - reason I downloaded the app onto my phone.

2.  When the battery is at 1/2 level or I haven't been able to upload my steps, the clock loses time from 2-4 hours.  Another pain.

3.  I do not believe the Blaze is accurate in counting steps, unless I am swinging my arms.  My husband and I both walk regularly with our dogs.  He has a pedometer and his step count is always so much higher than mine even though we may have done the exact same walking.  When I shop with a cart and my arms aren't moving, it does not count my steps from walking.

4.  The two buttons on the right of my Blaze have now come off, therefore I am unable to use these.

5.  I have to recharge constantly ranging from 1 day to 3 days.  Is this normal?

I have had my Blaze now for over a year and I cant say I am extremely happy with it.  At the same time, I could not warrant spending over $300 for the Apple.  Once this Blaze stops working, I will not be purchasing another, but will consider another form of device.  Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issues and what you have be able to do to alleviate the issues.  Thanks.

Hello @littlebritbabe

Sorry about what your experiencing

ehen it comes to the Battery,  they way it has been taken care of might have an impact, or it might just br the bsttery. No ot is not normal.

When it comes to the frame and the buttons, i have several third party ones from Amazon and like them better than Fitbits frame.

As for step counting, the Blaze has a highly tuned algorithm that does a pretty good job if rulling oyt excessive arm movements as steps, it still needs the arm to be moving to detect thst yhe feet are stepping. The Blaze being on your arm is looking for arm motions that say the feet should be stepping. It is not able to look at your feet movement. Your husbands tracker is looking at thr motion of his torso, looking for movements that say his feet are stepping.

Yes pushing a cart or holding the dog leash in the hand with yoir Fitbit, could cause a loss of steps counted.

This is one of the downfalls of tracking arm motions to count leg movements.

About the time going off, have you tried a restart or a shutdown through the settings menu on the Blaze?
