Custom Workout list

FitBit blaze needs a way to input your workout routine. So that you can easily see what exercises you plan to do that day. Rather than carrying around a piece of paper to track your exercises, the blaze should have a list where you can add in your own workout and check complete once each exercise has been done!

Ah, I get you now!  This is actually a very good idea @Carpool88.

 

Right now, since there is no option to do something like this, I was able to find a feature suggestion for something similar. You can see the request here and add your vote and comments to it.

 

Now, in the meantime, something that I can recommend and that has really worked for me personally, is using FitStar. This is an app partnered with Fitbit that will give you different programs that you can choose and will show you each different exercise that is in the workout and in the end, it will connect to Fitbit, so it will appear as an activity with calories and all other stats as you can see below:

 

This is the FitStar session:

Hi there @Carpool88. Good to see you in the Community!

 

I'm not sure if I don't understand your post correctly but as of right now, you have an option in the Exercise section on your Blaze to keep track of your activities individually. For example, if you will first go for a run, you can track your run and once it has ended and you want to start a Yoga session, you can also track it on your Blaze and in the end, when you're done with your routine, you will see a list of the activities you made with detailed information for each.

I was thinking more towards strengthening exercises. Being able to input a workout routine such as chest press, lat pulldown, biceps curls etc. And every time you complete your given repetitions you could check complete and move onto the next one. I think this would be a great tab to have under the workout section of exercises as calories burned through lifting weights is not a very accurate measure

I'm new to this, and I would love a way to track calories burned etc in Hot Yoga classes... which vary from class to class, instructor and what the heat in the room is... any ideas?!

I'm happy to see new memebers in the Forums! Welcome aboard @JudyMPowers 😄

 

Currently, there is no "Hot Yoga" option, there's only Yoga, but I'd say that would work fine. Since the calorie burn is estimated based on your heart rate, you can rely on the heart rate sensor on the Blaze to keep track of this.

 

Try it out and see if it works for you and let us know if you need more help!

I have to say, no offense, but there is NO WAY the yoga setting is right for hot yoga! They hear the room up to 95-105 degrees... and then u work! Yesterday it said I only burned 185 for an hour long class! How is this possible when I am dripping in sweat within the first 15 mins, like I have never sweat before?! 

Also, I'm not sure my steps are registering correctly... help!

I need to change the options on the exercises listed. For example, I never use the elliptical and would like to have spinning inits place. How do i do that?

Simply go to your account - Blaze - Exercise Shortcuts and choose what you want.

I mentioned it would be good to use for Hot Yoga because the algorithms used for that would be basically the same. Now, what you mention about the temperature, this will for sure make you burn more calories and this will be reflected on your heart rate. Your Blaze has a heart rate monitor which conveniently tracks this so that you can be sure that your calorie burn estimation will be accurate in this situation.
