How does fitbit blaze goes upon deciding how many calories do I need to burn in a day ?
I did the basic setup of my tracker and on the dashboard it shows that my daily calorie burning goal is 2697 calories. How fitbit do these calculations ? I'm not trying to lose/gain weight and the maximum calorie consumption for me in a day is not more than 2100 calories. I know I can change this no. but I'm curious about the accuracy of this figure (2697 calories a day).

Hi
Feel free to check out the fitbit article regarding how fitbit estimates how many calories your precious body burns.
Of course, the body knows the best (if not hungry or feeling needing to force feed yourself, trust it has enough), it let knows when needing more nourishment by increasing appetite / hunger signals and also when eated just enough (not stuffed but comfortable satisfied not needing more)..

There's a setting on the food log page (computer / fitbit.com / account) which can be changed to increase the accuracy.
Change setting on Food Log Page
On the Food Log page, standard a setting is used to base the calories allowed on personal history, when being more or less active the calories can increase or decrease alot.
Change to sedentary when desired to increase the accuracy, when being more active, the calories to eat will increase.
