Hi @SallyP53! I'm happy to see you in the Fitbit Community! 🙂
To add to what @Rich_Laue said, have you tried to to force quit the Fitbit app and open it again? Sometimes the totals don't update right away and a good way to make them update is by force quitting the app. Once you open it again, everything should match, so if you haven't tried this, you can do it and see how it goes.
Let me know if you still need more help with this.

Hi
no I'm still having issues with this. I've tried restarting app, restarting phone. Switched Bluetooth off and on....and still losing steps in challenges, sometimes thousands!
any help gratefully received

@SallyP53 have you tried logging out/in?
The bigger question, is the challange being run in your timezone?
Currently I'm in 2 weekly challenges, for my time the one challange started 3pm on Sunday and the other one started at 7am. The two have over 15000 difference in steps, which is from my Sunday night work shift. Neather one matches my dashboard, but both are correct.
