I want to continue to be able to see my text messages on my Fitbit, but I don't want to use all of my cellular data. I turned off cellular data usage, and I turned off all day sync. Without a wifi connection can I still receive texts via Bluetooth without using cellular data?

Have you tried it?

Without cellular data is your phone still able to receive the information you want notifacations for?

WiFi is for connecting your phone to a private network that might have internet access.

Cellular data is not needed to communicate between the phone and tracker. It is or wifi is required for your phone to receive email.

At best you will only see the notifications you would now see with your network disabled.

Hi there guys @danbrown71845 @Rich_Laue @jmattwood, great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

In my experience, you don't really need to have an internet connection to receive notifications on your Fitbit Blaze. This is all done through bluetooth. Now, this means that you will not receive notifications for apps when not connected to the internet but you will only receive calls and text messages notifications.

Still, you can try it out on your own and let us know the outcome. We'd like to know your experience!

If you need anything else, let us know!
