Dead Battery, Blaze won't charge

Yesterday, I charged my Blaze prior to putting it on around 9 am. I was doing at home all day, so I manually synced it a couple times over the course of the day. It showed a full charge the last time it synced, around 2:45pm. Around 6 pm, I tried to sync again, it showed "Looking...". This has happened a few times since I updated my iPhone 7 to iOS11, so I turned Bluetooth off and then on again on my phone, which usually resolves the issue. Still "Looking..."

Tapped my Blaze to look at the screen, and it was blank. Tried restarting and nothing. Plugged it into the charger, and it shows 1 red line on the battery. Unexpected, as it was fully charged in the morning. So I left it in the charger until bedtime. Still one red line, and no response when I remove it from the charger. So I left it in the charger overnight.

This morning, same thing, one red line showing on the battery when its in the charger, no response at all when its removed.

So I've had it about a year and 3 months, so its out of warranty. Is there anything else I can try, given what I have already done ? Or is my Blaze dead ? I have a Flex2, but I really like the notifications on the Blaze.

My Blaze is a few months past warranty.  Last charge I needed to clean the connections with alcohol before it would charge.  Since I'd never cleaned it before I thought that made sense and it worked.  Last night I plugged in as the battery was flashing and it won't charge once again.  Just cleaned it again but this time it made no difference.  Is the charging box faulty?  Is this a Blaze defect?

An happy ending to my story. I contacted fitbit support via chat today, and even though my Blaze was a few months out of warranty (purchased early August 2016), they were able to process a replacement at no cost to me. They offered either 50% off another tracker or a 100% replacement of my current one.

So if you are experiencing a similar issue, it would be worth the effort to try.

I expected the standard 25% off a new tracker, so I was pleasantly surprised.
