Descrepancy between app Dashboard and web Dashboard

Hiked a trail today and noticed the distance was short 1/2 mile even though the Fitbit app charted the whole distance. The web Dashboard shows it stopped logging before the end of the hike, which would account for the 1/2 mile descrepancy. The actual distance is 2.16 miles. Why the difference?

Still no response? This is a strange one and the first problem I've run into in my first two weeks of ownership. I just thought it odd that the app GPS tracking on the map did not match the web Dashboard even though they both showed the same distance.

The web Dashboard would be accurate since it shows where I was shorted the 1/2 mile. Don't know why it didn't track the complete hike. I'm going to run another app along with the tracker for awhile, just in case it happens again.
