I'm kind of amazed this still hasn't been fixed yet but here goes:
We're all aware that when doing a FitStar workout on the app/desktop, it assigns a blanket value to the calories this workout will burn, regardless of gender, weight, height, etc. But most frustratingly, it overwrites the amount of calories your actual tracker says you burned. I think it's pretty obvious that even if both methods of counting calories burned are inaccurate, going by what it says on the tracker is surely better than a one size fits all number. It's pretty crappy to do a workout, look at your tracker and see you're kicking, and then as soon as you sync it drops your calories for the day by 100-200 in my case. Now I know someone will say 'why don't you just edit it manually?'. Probably because I paid for a Blaze and FitStar premium and issue has been known for quite a while but there hasn't been a fix yet.
So come on, Fitbit! You can fix it, I know you can! I believe in you!

Great to see you around @SunsetRunner. Regarding your calories issue, I recommend taking a look at this post, where one of our friends is providing more information about how the calories between the tracker and the application work.
I hope this helps, see you around.
