Dissapearing maps

On occasions, when i finish a walk, i see my route with the miles shown. 

Later on when i have time to explore my walk, the map is missing. All other details of the walk are retained. Why is this.

It's great to welcome you @Auldbob and weird to hear that your maps are disappearing. Have you checked if your app is updated? If you haven't, I recommend following the instructions provided in the How do I update my Android Fitbit app? post.
