Distance accuracy

Over the last couple of weeks my Blaze is not calculating distance properly. I've done 2 x 5 k races and my watch says I've run 3.6 k.

Very frustrating as I like to know the pace I'm running at per km

Hi @TwinkleStarr, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate the information and details that were shared in your post, totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Let me share with you that Fitbit devices calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps by your walking stride length and multiplying your running steps by your running stride length. We estimate your stride lengths using your height and sex. If your Fitbit device uses GPS and you track 1 or more runs using on-board or connected GPS, we evaluate that data to automatically update your running stride length. For best results, run at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes.

If you prefer to measure your walking and running stride lengths yourself and enter them manually, see How do I measure and adjust my stride length?

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around.

I understand what you have said but , this has happened all of a sudden
over the last 3 weeks. At the moment the fitbit blaze I have is only any
good for a use as a watch
Now it says my fitness level has gone from 43 to 36

Your reply is appreciated @TwinkleStarr.

So we can move forward with this situation, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using to sync your Blaze? Also, the information from my previous post was took into consideration? If you haven't already done so, please restart your Blaze to refresh its performance:

  1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Looking forward to your reply.
