Hello @04Dbacks without any details it would be hard to respond.
Is this durring an exercise such as walk/run/bike or maybe it is while on a treadmill?
If you are referring to a tracked exercise which mode was used to track the exercise.

I would increase the stride.
What is needed is
True miles
Fitbit miles
Current stride setting
With a little math we can get the stride set accurately

It's great to see you here @04Dbacks and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
Fitbit trackers calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps and walking stride length. Similarly, your running steps are multiplied by your running stride length. This will not necessarily match a pre-measured distance, nor will it show exactly what a GPS device will show.
As recommended, please measure your stride length information since, if you don't input your stride length, the site and tracker will use a default setting based off of your height and gender. As long as you've entered that information, the stride length it uses should be fairly accurate.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. ![]()

To be honest your tracker, without GPS is unable to measure distamce, but must calcilated.
As for calories the tracker looks at the heart rate, and uses this to calculate calories.
Yes there is more accurate ways but they require the monitoring of the oxygen consumed.
