I changed the length of my stride in the personal info but my Blaze has not made a change when syncing. It records a much smaller distance than my flex for the number of steps I take. Any suggestions? Thankyou

I would take and measure your stride length. Take about 20-25 steps and mark the beginning and ending distance. I would do it around 5times to get a accurate stride length. Get a tape measure and measure the total length from beginning to end of your steps. Divide to total inches by 3. That will be the number to use for your stride. Example if total inches was 75 divided by 3=25. I had the same problem. After I corrected my stride I drove my car around my neighborhood for about 3 miles and I marked every half mile. I then walked the 3 miles to compare it with my blaze. Set your blaze to run mode this will track your distance. I also would count a 100 steps and compare it with my blaze. Hope this helps you.

Changing the stride length will only affect future distances. Past data is not recalculated.

I'm new to Fitbit this is my fourth week owning it. I don't care about having data that is incorrect it's no use to me. I'm trying to get this blaze calibrated for me to use so I can have a good source of data.

@Aclobos first i would take a 500 step walk, counting them in your head to confirm their being recorded correctly by your tracker

Now you need to set your stride up. Almost everything is based on this, if your stride is not set correctly all the other data be wrong.

Great to see you around @lsi and @Aclobos@MikeF and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by and the recommendations. Woman Happy Keep in mind that your Blaze automatically detects your stride information but if you prefer to do this manually, follow these steps.

To measure your stride length, please do the following:

1. Go to a track or somewhere where you know the exact distance.
2. Count your steps as you walk across that distance, making sure you travel at least 20 steps.
3. Divide the total distance (in feet) taken by the number of steps to get your stride length.

Your running stride can be calculated the same way, only by running a known distance rather than walking.

To adjust this setting on your dashboard, do the following:

1. Log into your Fitbit.com dashboard and click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of your dashboard.
2. Select "Settings".
3. You will see a field for Stride Length and Running Stride Length. From here, you can manually enter your personal stride length. If you leave these blank, your profile will estimate these values based on your height and gender.
4. Click the "Update Profile" button to save your changes. Note that a sync will be required to update your tracker with your new stride measurements.

Let me know how it goes. Woman Wink
