Hello,
I am wondering if the Blaze watch calculates calories burned throughout the day using your heart rate. I have seen mixed reviews on this topic. Will Blaze automatically use HR along with your body stats to calculate calories burned? Or must you manually log a workout on the watch to make it factor in HR when calculating calories burned.
I am extremely surprised that this is such an issue with the fitbit models. One would think that if the device is capable of calculating HR this would be factored into the algorithm that determines calories burned without requiring the user to take additional steps.

It's great to see you here @Gareth575 and thanks for the examples and explanation about the calories burned. Are you having any inconvenience with your tracker? If you do, could you please tell me which is the issue you are experiencing?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Over calculations in calories burned. It states I burn over 4000 cals a day even when I don't take part in physical exercise. I am precise in entering food and eat 1000cals less than calories burned....yet still no weight loss. The lower end activity is not accurate

Not sure this is correct. Yesterday I forgot to stop the activity tracker so when I woke up it was still tracking as if doing a workout.....That being said, I woke up with 1100 calories already burned for the day...not the usual 3-400? That would say to me, tracking in activity mode is a lot different than normal daily tracking....???

Why does my Blaze give me so many more bonus calories during an average day than my Alta did? I achieve 650-1000 bonus calories in a normal day which gives me an unrealistic view of how many extra calories I can eat. My Alta used to give me half that. Which I felt was much more realistic. Can I adjust my Blaze?

My fitbit is malfunctioning. The heart rate has stopped working. If I turn it off, will it still count calories burned based on activity and/or steps? This morning i walked 6 miles. The watch said 755 calories even though the heart rate wasn't working, but when it synced to the app, it said 87 calories. I just turned the heart rate completely off because it stopped working yesterday morning.
