no device found when showing connected via bluetooth

My Blaze totally ran out of battery the other night - I don't usually let it drain fully but forgot to charge it. It was temperamental when I recharged it - showed the wrong time for ages until I managed to sync with the app for instance.

Now everything seems to be fine apart from the bluetooth connection to my Pixel 3XL. It's showing as connected, it's the only device connected via bluetooth, yet the app is saying 'no device found'. The only fix seems to be to reboot the whole phone.

I've 'forgot' and reconnected my Blaze multiple times (Blaze Classic)

I've disabled the app and restarted

I've turned bluetooth on and off

I've done all of the above in different orders

The only thing I haven't done is uninstall and reinstall the actual app.

I have noticed some problems with the new version of the app so not sure if that is affecting the connection, although this did only start after the battery had fully drained.

This morning it synched with the app at 8:14am, I have not connected any other bluetooth devices or done anything to the app or the watch, and now it says 'no device found' again.

I am having the same issue with my bluetooth connection. Hopefully someone can offer a suggestion to fix it.

In the last 4 weeks, my blaze which is 3yo have had intermittent syncing. And the error is also, no device found. Before it will several days before it stopped to sync; last week, it was everyday.

I would remove device from my account, restart the Blaze, restart the fitbit app, remove the BT pairing - it would fix it for a few days or hours, then it happened again.

I was planning to throw it away, but realized i haven't checked the community yet.

Did all of that, but failed to fix it.

Since the recent android app update it seems to be working again. Fingers crossed.
