Droid Turbo 2 Support ETA??

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Any update on when the Turbo 2 is going to be live? We have the turbo 2, and literally, the ONLY reason that my wife bought the Blazes (one for her and for me), instead of the charge HR that she had (and the Vivofit that I had), is for the ability to control her music. To say that she is pissed because this $200 (x2) device doesn't work with a flag-ship, popular phone that's been out for 7 months is... a bit of an understatement. Before she returns these, I'd like to know if you're close and/or have and ETA for the Droid Turbo 2 having full functinoality with the Blaze? (Everything but the "classic" pairing, and therefore music control, currently works)

Thanks,

Mike

Also, if it is the Blaze update, what version is it, in the settings? Mine is 17.8.200.3

Blaze update. I had just received it as a present and straight out of the
box I had to do an update, it took about 25 mins to complete

I don't know if it will make a difference but after being frustrated with
the blaze, I reconnected one of my Bluetooth speakers to my droid turbo 2
*I removed all stored Bluetooth devices just to get the blaze classic to
try to pair*, then I was listening to Spotify on the speaker. I turned the
speaker off and turned Spotify back on and that's when the blaze music
screen started flashing *connecting...song title..connecting.. Song* title.
And when I pushed the play pause button on the blaze it controlled the
phone!

Oh, wow... Some strange sequence of events, sounds like. I tried deleting the paired items, and all that, and it didn't work. I'll just wait for the update when they fix it, I guess...

FWIW, I unliked from my Driod2, installed fitbit app for the 1st time on a Galaxy S6, and it linked up the 1st time, but I can not get the music controls to work, they just say "connecting"
How do I link the watch to the music player?

Ok you need to make sure your Bluetooth is on and connected to the blaze
classic, then open Pandora, Spotify etc. On your blaze, Bluetooth should be
in the on position. Start your music on your phone and then on your blaze
music screen you should see it blinking between 'connecting... Song
title...connecting', then you can control your phone using the watch. I'll
attach a pic.

That sucks hang in there! It should be working soon because mine is working
great so far. I'm Getting notifications for phone calls, but not for texts
so far

The notifications come and go on their own, those I am used to (was similar with my Surge)... guess thats what I get for buying the day they come out, an extended beta test LOL

Same phone but with charge hr. What is so frustrating is that it worked well enough until it updated one day. I agree with you, there almost no excuse for this. I went and bought a Microsoft band 2 happy with it except it's 2 day battery which is not enough for me I think. I wish I could still use my charger hr, but after this experience, I might never buy another fit bit
product

Technology, it is what it is... it will never be perfect and not everything will work with everything

My MotDroidTurbo2 and Blaze sync and vibrate when i get calls and texts, not sure I need much else from a (per se) low end smart watch, if I wanted all that other crap that reduces life of a battery to miutes, i would have bought one of those 😄

If anyone else stumbles on this thread like I did, here's a link to the "Feature Request" to add Droid Turbo 2 support.  The thread was started MARCH 2016 by the way.  Keep that in mind as you're getting your hopes up...

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/Motorola-Droid-Turbo-2-Support/idc-p/1456410#M70817

Blaze (Classic) not syncing to Droid Turbo 2 is a known issue.  Here's a quote from the moderator on that thread: "I think that it could be great to have support to setup/sync with Motorola Droid Turbo 2, keep an eye on our list of supported devices for new additions."

YOU THINK?  Yeah, no $%!#....  It could be great to have the things we paid for actually work....    Hopefully my Amazon order for the tempered glass and other accessories I ordered hasn't shipped so I can cancel.  Have owned it less than 12 hours, and I think I'm returning this **ahem** tomorrow.....

Personnaly I think every single one of us that fitbit has screwed to share our experience with friends and family that own Android phones.  Make sure they are armed with the information they need to know when products are wise purchases, and which ones will leave them with a sour taste in their mouth.....

OMG!!!
After numerous times trying to pair Blaze classic it finally happened, how you ask? I turned on the Slacker Radio app and then turned on the pair on the Blaze & then the numbers came up and there you go 😌
