Enable more notifications with blaze

I would like to request Fitbit to open up the Blaze notification options to enable all notifications from our phones (ideally) or at least many more apps. At the very least, you should allow us to get notifications from email apps, and notifications from all the supported messaging apps rather than choosing only one of them. Right now a variety of messaging apps are supported like WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, default SMS app etc. But we can only choose one of these and then get notifications from only that app.

I do not see any technical limitations in enabling notifications from a larger variety of apps as Fitbit can already do this with a limited set of apps. May be, it may help to open up the API for incorporating these features so that third-party app developers can use those API to enable notifications for fitbit blaze.

I like the idea that the Blaze can act like a smartwatch-lite but the restrictions in the notifications make it fall short of this idea. I understand that Fitbit wants this to be considered as a fitness tracker and nothing more, but as you've put this feature in, people will want it to work properly. So all I am saying is fully bake this feature! The framework already exists, you just need to flesh it out.

You have some good points, if you would like to let Fitbit know, and not just your fellow users, I suggest you leave your comments and a vote here.

I did that. But I am not so optimistic that Fitbit will even consider this as their track record of actually considering and implementing the various features requested on that forum seems quite slim.

You probably haven't been following the feature board then. Quick, stopwatch, countdown timer, aito sleep detection, seconds on the Charge and HR, cycling and several more recent on the Surge and Blaze, Mobile track. Of course when some like the quickview where implemented the complaints rolled in.

I'd like Fitbit not to change a single thing about the Blaze..as it is I don't see the need for any new features or updates.

I bouht the device for what it was specified to do; this it achieves superbly.

Seriously? Not even more and better watch faces? The ones available right now are extremely limited in but style and function. I'd like to see ones that make use of the screen real-estate in a better way.

I use the pop and original faces, sometimes the today view.

I know a lot of people want more for the Blaze but it doesn't bother me. When I'm wearing my real watch the blaze sits in my pocket, sans strap anyway. I just sync when I get home.

Hi i recently purchased fitibit blaze... but feel that they should add more dial faces and also allow more notification options i.e Whatsapp, email to name a few... rest i feel the watch is a good buy...

Hope fitbit technical team releases the updates for them early....
