Error message: Blaze not supported for Windows Phone 8.1

I received the Blaze yesterday as a present for my Microsoft Lumia 520. According to the device compatibility page, it is supported. I initially setup my Blaze to my iPad to get it up and running and installed the latest update on the Blaze. However, when I went to sync it to my phone, the phone registered it in Blutooth settings, but when opening the Fitbit app, there is a brief message along the top that states, "Blaze is not supported for Windows phone 8.1". I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the phone (per recommendations on the community site), but still received the error. I have a Fitbit One that is still linked to the app, but when I try to add new device, the Blaze is not listed as an option to be installed. The Blaze is registered in my account (I can click on the Fitbit One to bring up more info and it will list both devices), but I do not get any functionality between the Blaze and the phone.

Fitbit have stated that the Blaze is a Windows 10 device, although some have found a degree of compatibility is sometimes available on earlier devices. It is however a bit hit and miss.

It's great to see you around @Krotkdm. Fitbit is not longer providing support for the Fitbit app for Windows computers and tablets running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. You can keep using the app you already downloaded, but it won't be available for future downloads. If you use a computer running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1, you can continue to sync your tracker with Fitbit Connect to view your stats.

If possible, I recommend upgrading your mobile device to Windows 10. Once you upgrade it you will be able to download the Fitbit app for Windows 10 for the best mobile experience and uninterrupted syncing of your tracker.
