Exercise not tracking with GPS

My Fitbit Blaze is no longer tracking runs accurately with GPS. Same run of approximately 3 miles reads as anywhere from 2.99 to 3.45 miles because, despite my starting exercise tracking with the Blaze and waiting for syncing with my Android phone, it appears to go by steps rather than GPS. The map is messed up, showing only very approximate route and ending at the wrong place.

My Blaze appears to be randomly deleting some exercises. Number per week remains accurate but specific exercises disappear. I use my Android phone app.
