Well, after over 4 years and three fitbits, (two were faulty)and finally a blaze, which has been used for about 2 1/2 years, I am moving on, I am disappointed that no battery replacement service is possible, and that Fitbit don’t seem to care, reading a number of posts on this forum, I’m not prepared to pay out £200 every couple of years to then throw away a perfectly good watch because I can’t change the battery. Such a shame

I am considering leaving Fitbit too after first using the Alta then an upgraded Blaze about 2 years ago. To my dismay, my Blaze started misbehaving last month and would not display the steps count despite my attempts to reboot the device. Fitbit customer service could not solve this problem and sent me a 25% discount code to purchase a new device (which excluded the new Versa 2). However, even with this seemingly good discount, the pricing did not compare favourably to other retailers. I mean, trying to flog the old versa at a full retail price of £199 is ludicrous! After reading the Blaze thread, I can't help thinking that Fitbit devices are not built to last more than 2 years which is why I am reluctant to invest into another expensive unit. Shame on you Fitbit!
