Extremely High Step Count!!

OK so I just wore my new Blaze for a whole day. I find that the step count is extremely inaccurate. I mean I must have taken maybe 500 - 700 steps today. And those numbers actually sound high to me, because I didnt even go to the gym today and mostly drove everywhere today. The Blaze is telling me that I walked over 5k steps today!?! How!? This is the first tracker I've ever used. I really hope this is not what all the hype is about and hopefully I'm just missing something. Because for $200, the least this device can do is give me an error margin of about 50steps or so. Not thousands of steps... Geez... If I can't figure out how to make this thing work, I'll just end up sending it back.

I had the same problem today. I got over 25,000 steps and should have been around 13,000. First time ever for me. I owned a Fitbit Zip for over two years and I never had a problem today. I am wander if anyone else got high step count for the days or just us.

First thing would be to seersee what time the steps where counted and what you were doing at the time. Open the daily step graph, where you driving?

Actually the fit bit malfaction. Instead of zeroing my steps at midnight my zip started my new day with the total steps from the previous day. I am disappointed because I end up getting my 25 0000 badge when I actually don't deserve it. Do you know if there is anyway to have fitbit fix this error?

This generally happens when the Fitbit changes the timezone within an hour of midnight. Or of the Fitbit wasn't running at midnight. The other thing that would cause this is of the Blaze was being updated over midnight.
