Extremely frustrated with FitBit customer service

I have purchase my FitBit in Sept 2016, in September 2017 I started noticing that the battery won't last more than 24 hrs. Since it won't hold the battery, I would leave it home most of the times and forget about it. So, needless to say that I only contacted the customer service now, in December 2017,  without realizing that my warranty has run out. Customer service confirmed that the see that my battery is useless but the best they could offer is 25% off a new tracker. REALLY?! I see a lot of people are having the same issue, so it is obvious that this is a known issue to FitBit. Yet, all I got from the customer service is 25% off a new tracker?! What FitBit is then implying is that their products are only good for 365 days after which, you are supposed to buy a new tracker. This is quite maddening. I don't believe it is right to have a product for 365 days only after which it dies. Buying a new tracker means I have to:

a) spend more money (yay for FitBit);

b) dispose of the old tracker polluting the environment even further.

Way to go FitBit...

Strange, 1 Year’s warranty, it is 2 years in EU

Hi, @dnic, it is an EEA regulation that Fitbit must comply with in order to sell its products in the EEA.  In all other parts of the world the warranty is 1 year.

Plus, we benefit from tighter consumer protection laws, fit for purpose beyond manufactures warranty period comes to mind.

What happens when we leave the EU is anybody’s guess.

You must have a Blaze from the exact same batch as me. I had the exact same issue and was given the exact same response. Bottom line is we were promised a product that was supposed to perform at certain specifications and it is not doing that. Fitbit is a bunch of crooks who like to take your money and not deliver a quality product. Don't waste your time.
