Factory reset blaze to transfer to a new user

So I want to give my Blaze to my mom. I am trying to get the Blaze to reset as a new device (factory reset) and all I can find is info on restarting it (pressing left and lower right buttons), which does NOT reset it to factory settings. Because it is linked to my account, I cannot get her bluetooth to find the device when trying to set it up for her.

I deleted the device from my own app ("forget this device") but that doesn't solve my issue. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I unpaired the fitbit blaze from my phone and deleted all the notifications.  then paired it to my daughters phone, however she is still getting my text msgs... and nothing from her phone.

Help.....

Thats because you haven't unpaired the tracker from your phone. Go into your phones Bluetooth and remove the tracker from there.

When the tracker is setup to your daughter's account at that time the tracker is removed from your account.

I am having the same problem. I tried to pass my blaze on to my daughter and it is not pairing to her phone. I tried to re-pair it to my account and it wouldn’t even to work with the original account. I took the phone to the apple store and diagnostics came back it wasn’t an iss with the phone. This is a Fitbit issue.

Have you removed the Blaze from your phones Bluetooth. @JenRR

At what point does the setup process fail?

How do I set up my Fitbit device?
Set up and get started using your new device.
Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
Make sure your phone, tablet, or computer meets all the requirements for getting started with your Fitbit device.

Im currently having the same issue. The blaze was deleted from the original account online, but was not synced to the Fitbit app on their phone at the time. It seems that theblaze doesn't know it has been removed, but also can't be added back onto their phone in the app since it doesnt allow the original setup process to engage.

I can't pair it with my phone now either, so now I just have a smart watch with no connectivity.

How can this be resolved?

@JaySilvas since you say your having a problem with the phone, please let us no what phone your having trouble with.

So let's look at the setup process.

Open the app, and perform an add device. This is found by tapping the square in the top right, at least on Android.

Now choose the Blaze

The app should then find it, and eventually a 4 digit code will be displayed. Type the code in and let the app finish the setup.

If this is not happening, please let us know at what step the process fails.

This process should work with or without the tracker connected to any Fitbit account.

I was having the same problem but finally got it to connect to my phone after I held the left button in for about 5 seconds.

Hey ive tried all of the steps and my blaze still won’t connect. I get to the 4 digit step and then I just get the dots working and it says “connecting to Fitbit” and stops there

Hello @Valkrukan is this a Blazer that was previously owned by someone else?

Also if asking about a problem on the phone, please include the phone model.
