False Daily Calories

I just got this watch yesterday and it says I’m burning 1800 calories when I clearly haven’t done any activity of that much work. And it’s been saying this till all the way back to 2009. The daily calories burned have been 1800 for over a decade and I don’t know what the problem is, I just want it to track my daily calories and not have it bug out. It’s super weird that it’s burned the exact same amount of calories for over 10 years. Plz help!

Those are your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  They are credited even when you are not wearing the tracker, and are extended back into history.

See How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Is there a way to take this off as it’s kinda annoying and I’d like to get my daily calories without BMR
