FitBit Blaze spontenously shuts down

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Blaze just started spontaneously shutting down. I can wake it back up by putting it on the charger, but it really upsets me when I am in the middle of a climb and the watch is on the fritz, so no record... I started carrying the charging cable with me everywhere so that I can jolt it back to life. But, it is such a hassle!
Any idea why it's doing it?

@vtx_chic Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

I appreciate the troubleshooting tried. It's pretty weird that your Blaze is turning off spontaneously.

I would like you to restart your Blaze and check if you get it working properly after this. Does it turn off and then it wakes up until you put it into the charging cable?

Let me know how it goes.

Mine also shuts down, and I need to put it in the charger cradle to get it back on, which definitely interferes with my tracking ability. I thought it was temperature related for a while, because it was seeming to shut down if I was outside in the sun for too long (apparently 10 minutes is too long for it, if it is indeed temperature related, which is terrible for me living in Miami, all my activities are outside, which means none are getting tracked!) .... however recently it started shutting off on its own while I slept! So now my sleep isn’t even tracking either! Not to mention the notification issue with the iOS.... so now I have a blaze that was given to me as a gift on Halloween that does not receive text messages or alerts for ANYTHING, and it shuts down 10 minutes an afternoon activity, and shuts off while I sleep! So I have an expensive activity tracker that tracks nothing.

i too started carrying the charger cable so I could jolt it back to life but most of the time I am no where near an outlet when it dies so it still doesn’t do any good.
VERY FRUSTRATING INDEED!

My Fitbit Blaze stopped showing notifications 2 days ago. Yesterday it started showing a blank screen as soon as I put it in the charging dock it shows full battery. Please assist with this.

Mine did the same thing and is now dead. Must be due to blaze watch getting to be an older watc .

Hi, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, restarting it does not improve the functionality. It still seems to "go to sleep" every so often. Yesterday, it did it several times in a row. It seems to do it most often around 5 pm and right as I reach my daily step goal.

My Blaze started doing this a few days ago as well. I’ve tried the restart that was mentioned in other forums by pushing the left button along with the bottom right button until the Fitbit logo shows but this does not fix my problem. My Blaze still shuts down and the only way I can get it to wake again is to put it into the charger even though my Blaze is still showing as fully charged. Please help. Thank you.
