FitBit stopped working after swimming

I wore my fitbit on vacation and was swimming in the pool. Shortly after, it died. I can’t get it to restart or do anything. My dashboard still shows it but I cannot get the device to turn on nor does the reset work. I thought the fitbit is water resistant?

please help!

Some fitbit models are water-resistant, but not the Blaze. See: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1598/

 

I would put your fitbit in a sealed bag with dry rice for a day or two (the rice will draw out any moisture in the fitbit). Then try charging it (while keeping your fingers crossed!)

Fitbit blaze is not meant to be swam with, i had the same issue and it died. I had to order a replacement from fitbit support. Please dont swim with the device unless it is advertised as such.
