Since there is not an exercise listed for walking what should I be using when I walk outside for an hour or are local indoor track?  I'm currently using the "treadmill" excercise, but wasn't sure if this would be best.

It's possible to configure the exercise shortcuts onto your Blaze on the trackers settings page. Walking can be chosen.

https://www.fitbit.com/settings/device/tracker

* It's also possible to let your walks being detected automatically by your Blaze without needing to do anything than walking for a minimum set time.

The treshold can be changed on the trackers settings page by each automatically recognized exercise individually or possible to exclude any exercise from auto tracking by changing to 'ignored'.

I dont seem to be able to do this through either the website or the windows 10 app on my tablet.   The app lets me select and modify my exercise shortcuts, but it wont push thwm to the Blaze.  The website gives me no option at all.  My phone is Windows 8.1,  but I expected no options there.

Your best bet @Alex-Hrafn is if possible to do it via the web interface on your PC. I gave a sneaky feeling the "save" option is missing from the W10 app when you make changes to the exercise types. On the web there's a big button just above the list, to save the changes you've made before trying to sync.

On the web, I cannot even access the option, and I'm following the directions given to do so.   The Win10 app missiñ a save button doesnt suprise me though.

I've got it working now.  Had to relaunch chrome from my tablet in desktop mode.
