Fitbit Blaze and Windows 7 Setup

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I received my Fitbit Blaze today and I am having issues setting it up. I placed it in its charging base, plugged it into my computer, downloaded the software for windows, and went through the whole setup process. I cannot get past the screen where it says please connect the dongle. My setup screen also shows that there is no fitbit connected (even though it is). I've done the following things based on the help section of this website and nothing has allowed me to get past the 'connect the dongle' screen in setup.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit Connect software numerous times.

Restarted my computer numerous times.

I've connected the USB wire with the Blaze in its charging cradle to every USB port I have on my computer (10) with no luck.

Restarted the Fitbit by holding the left and bottom right buttons for 10 seconds, several times.

I've tried everything listed above on my Windows 7 laptop (in addition to my desktop computer) with no luck.

Stuck at connect the dongle on my computer, and fitbit.com/setup on my Blaze screen. I've been at this for several hours now.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit Professional - and I will not be updating to Windows 10 any time soon.

Please help.

For win 7 to work at the minimum a Fitbit BT dongle will work.
Just a reminder you have until July 28th to get the the free Win10 upgrade, on the 29th it will cost you $100 plus.

Hello @Tom1026 welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 it's great to have you here. The Blaze tracker is optimized for Windows 10 and I suggest to use a device with Windows 10 for the Blaze to work properly and please keep me posted about your experience with support @Rich_Laue thanks for your cooperation.

if Fitbit was aware of this problem with iOS 10.2, then why want Fitbit proactive and issue a notification ? You already send out weekly notifications!

You know iOS is a major platform and this will cause a lot of frustration for users

Second why does the Fitbit documentation say you can sync you Blaze with the cradle but the. Windows 10 software say you need a dongle?
