Fitbit Blaze compatible with Google Pixel?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just received a Fitbit Blaze for Christmas and am not able to get text or email notifications setup.

Phone calls are syncing to my Blaze but texts and emails aren't showing up, no matter what I try.

Are certain types of notifications not yet available for the Google Pixel? Or, does anyone have suggestions on how to get them to work if compatible?

Thanks and Merry Christmas! 🎄

It's great to welcome you @AudreybotGoogle Pixel is not a compatible mobile device and that's why you are having problems with your notifications. If you want, you can follow @MarreFitbit's instructions in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Any idea when Google Pixel will become compatible? I just got the Blaze for Christmas and also have the Google Pixel XL. Would be nice to have them work together.

How did you get your Blaze to sync at all with your pixel?

The Google Pixel isn't supported yet. Blaze doesn't even recognize the phone/device. Hope they will come out with an update soon. Otherwise, highly disappointed in the reduced functionality of the Blaze.

I have Pixel XL, and all notifications seems to work fine with Blaze..

iwojima: Not sure what notifications you seem to be getting, but according to FitBit, the Blaze full functionality isn't supporting Google Pixel yet (see one of the responses above). In fact, my phone doesn't even "see" the Blaze via Bluetooth. No pairing whatsoever.

OP here. I actually called Fitbit customer support. They were very helpful and didn't mention anything about my Pixel not being compatible. They had me try a few things, and now my Blaze is receiving all the notifications I want (phone calls, email, text). I love my fitbit Blaze!

I am having the exact same issue as you -- Blaze will receive calls via my google pixel phone, but does not receive any text messages or other notifications.  Each time I swipe to that screen on the blaze I see "you're all caught up, no new notifications" despite knowing I do have new texts, etc.  Should I call fitbit to resolve or what did they have you do that fixed the issue?

I have the Google Pixel and it syncs with my Blaze just fine. I get call, text and even email updates on it. I do recall it having issues during the initial sync/setup so I set it up on my PC and then synced it to the phone without a problem.

Yes, I would call them. I don't remember exactly what worked. They had me
try several things and finally it worked. They were very helpful.

I did wind up calling customer support and stumped them.  They were wonderful -- walked me through a handful of troubleshooting ideas.  Nothing worked.  They're sending me a new Blaze.  Interestingly enough my husband also has a Google pixel.  I had him pair this Blaze and he received all texts, emails, even Facebook notifications no problem at all.  We've disabled many of my apps, messed with security settings... no idea what else to try at this point. I doubt a new Blaze will fix the problem but since they offered, I'll try it.

I just got the PIXEL phone,  I was initalling having trouble with my Blaze connecting with the phone as far as notifications. At the begining the Blaze didn't want to connect with bluetooth but after i hit pair about 10 times it finially connected.

As far as notifications,

I had to into the fitbit app.

on the top right had corner I tapped the picture of the watch, with the batter icon, this took me to the notification set much like on of the responses above. I hd toe select notifications under Gerneral. then i had to select enable notifications. Then i had to rego in to the same spot of notifications and hit enable again, brought me to to the notifications and selections i needed to make. for Messenger i had to pick the right one  between facebook messenger and texting, and voxer.

I also enabled my notifaction widget.

I could have been inpatient but i still wasn't getting my notifications. so I shut down and restarted both my phone and my watch, it appears to have worked as i am now getting my messages through my blaze watch.

Great news! I just connected my Blaze with Google Pixel through the Bluetooth Classic in settings.  By turning this Classic setting to pairing the two connected and have been updating well this afternoon.
