Fitbit Blaze deleting at random

I'm progressively becoming more and more frustrated with my Blaze (my only device); it started a few days back when I noticed that it hadn't recorded a 30 minute bike ride nor 30 minutes of Aerobics I'd done before jogging that day. When I manually logged the exercise afterward, the 30 minute jog that actually got recorded automatically (with all of the specifications that go with calories lost and heartrate) was then deleted in its place and never resynced properly after the fact. Even more frustrating has been the deleting of total steps. I was looking at the 'friends' page this morning and literally watched my over 80,000 total step count drop to 68,795 right before my eyes. That's the third time I've seen my steps drop from the 80,000's (it was above 87,000 several times), this was the first time I'd seen such a large drop at nearly 20,000 steps, and it seems like the deleted quantity is becoming larger and larger everytime. Can someone please tell me what in the world is going on, how I can stop it from happening again, and if it's possible to recover lost steps. I'm starting to think this blaze is more trouble than its worth.
