Fitbit Blaze not responding

I got a Blaze new. I put in the charger. The back light is on just a lit black screen after 5 hours on charger I pressed the power button to begin set up. I see the fit bit logo for few seconds then that goes away and just the blank back lit lcd. Phone doesn't see it and left it sitting til drained and powers off dark. Repeated process few times no change. I tried the hard reset left button and lower right button. It goes dark boots to logo for few seconds and lit back lit screen again. Tried this few dozen tries no change. Tried clean contacts and tried different charger no change.. It's like it has no firmware installed? Any ideas?
