Fitbit Blaze not working properly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been a Fitbit user pretty much since they came out.  I recently purchased the Blaze and this watch has some serious issues.  I know none of them work with 100% accuracy but for the price of this unit, it should work better than it does.  I've read many topics in the community that speak to the same issues I'm having and it seems there's no fix in sight.  Yes, I tried resetting and it hasn't changed anything.  What should I do?

What specific issues are you having?

It has a serious lag in step counting.  Sometimes it doesn't count them at all. Which is my main reason for using it.  Or it will give me more steps than I actually did.  I can't tell if it's catching up or if it's being over sensitive.  The altimeter function is off, too.  Sometimes it says I climbed more stairs/floors than I actually did or doesn't give me credit for the ones I did climb.  It's quite annoying.

My Fitbit blaze arrived today. It is parcelled up to go back as it won't sync or charge. Very disappointed indeed x

@Suebrad9 why do you say it wont charge, have you set it up yet? It wont sync or show a charging icon till you do.

The stairs bit is known to be off for many of the wrist models - it gives you floors based on elevation climbed, and air pressure can throw off the sensor. So, if it's super windy, you'll often get extra credit.

For the step count, did you calculate your stride, or is your device set to auto-detect? I found that I was getting an inaccurate step count with my Fitbit Flex because I take super short strides. Manually entering my stride length helped.
