Fitbit Blaze "not working, try again."

Hello all. Purchased a used Fitbit after my original died, and when trying to connect the device to my app, it's not working. I get as far as entering the numbers on the display and proceeding to it reading "connecting" on the app, but it always goes to the "not working, try again" screen. 

 

I've deleted my old device from the app, tried connecting the device on two different phones, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, turned the bluetooth on and off, and restarted the Blaze. What should I try next?

I think there is some sort of outage going on at the moment as others seem to be having the same/similar issue. mine stopped syncing and i cannot for the life of me get it to pair again

I'm having the same issue  

Followed all.advice online but I can't get it to pair let alone sync
