Fitbit Blaze screen delaminating

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My situation seems a little different from others here, ...my Blaze works perfectly even after at least two years, however I can see that the screen is beginning to delaminate along one edge. It looks like there is a bubble under the screen.

I'd like to keep it working as long as possible and propose to seal along the affected edge with epoxy or silicone or some other sealant. Does any one have a suggestion?

I never wear my Blaze in the shower or swimming but it could be exposed to water washing the dishes or biking in the rain.

Thanks,

Phil

Welcome to the Forums @lpradams! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that the display on your Fitbit Blaze seems to be delaminating.

Since you've had your tracker for more than two years, this will not be covered under the warranty, however, as you mentioned, you could try sealing it with liquid silicone to avoid any liquid coming in contact with the inside parts of your Blaze.

Any other question you may have, let me know!

Thanks for the reply.

I was really asking whether the electronics in the display might be harmed by the acetic acid in most silicone sealants or whether an epoxy would be a better choice.

Thanks for getting back @lpradams. And thanks for the clarification. I honestly have not much experience with these materials so I wouldn't be able to tell which one would be better.

Maybe someone else that has that kind of experience can provide some insight.

Anything else, I'm here to help!
