Fitbit Blaze usage problems

Hi

My new fitbit blaze is causing contact problems where the charger contact points hit the skin, I must stress that it is NOT a BAND ISSUE, it is the BATTERY CONTACTS on the back of the blaze itself. There are two red raw marks where these points make contact on the skin.  I can use it in my pocket, or on a belt clip, but I bought it to be a watch as well as everything else, and you SHOULD be able to wear a watch on your wrist

I have another tracker that charges via a USB port, and it has a plastic flap over the charging device, and I've never had an issue with that one, is it so hard to design something in that line?

Good to see you around @Clashton! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having problems with your Blaze wristband 😕

When it comes to the contact of your skin with the charging port on your tracker, I would advise making sure your tracker is clean as debris or moisture accumulated could cause problems when getting in contact with your skin. Please take a look at the wear and care instructions here.

If that wasn't the case, I've anyways gone ahead and escalated your case to the Support Team who will be happy to take a deeper look to get you back on track and please stop wearing your tracker in the meantime until you get further instructions from our team.

I too, have issues on my skin from the Blaze, and I have had from all FitBits.  I change the wristband to a leather band as this seemed to be the issue for prior FitBits.  However, the Blaze does give me red marks on my skin from underneath the charging mechanism on the back of the watch itself.  I have followed cleaning protocol, and remove the watch daily for shower. I have even switched arms to my dominate arm and had same reaction. Mine is not painful, but it is definitely a red marking on skin underneath the watch. I, too, LOVE FitBit, and miss my favorite Charge HR.  I only upgraded because of the wristband issues and limitations at the time.
