Fitbit Blaze will not sync after initial setup update.

My fitbit started the initial update once I started the setup. The bar went across the screen and took about 20 minutes to progress and finish. When it seemed to finish my blaze restarted. But once it booted up it will no longer sync. I only have access to basic setting on the blaze itself and cannot access it from my Windows 10 laptop or my android 6 moto G. I cannot cahnge the clock face or anything else and the clock is showing the wrong time, roughly 3.5 hours ahead and the date shows as Janurary 1st. I have restarted the fitbit and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both my devices. Is there any way to factory reset my fitbit so I can try the update again? Any thing would be a big help since I am ready to pull my hair out or return this thing.

The problem was finally fixed after I uninstalled the app on my phone and re-installed it. I tried it once each day and after a week it finally updated and synced correctly. Ironically, it finally worked when I uninstalled and reinstalled it while I was contacting Fitbit to return it. Been using it for 3 days now without any issues.

Keep calm and keep trying. My blaze came today. I wanted so bad to sync it to my S5. So I tried to but not enough juice. So I stopped and charged my blaze. But in the meantime my phone was updating. And the blaze wanted to sync up with fit it. But everything in all worked out.

I got mine working again after multiple resets. As soon as it finally connected again and updated its worked fine ever since. I've been in IT for 20 years, never had this much trouble connecting bluetooth.

How did you reset your fitbit blaze, any instructions?

Same here.  Terrible setup on Win10 pc.  Blew up my One dongle when telephone support people were trying to update through the old fitbit connect program because I don't own schmartphones. Time is 2 hours off.  Battery still showing half full after 4 hours.  It's got 24 more hours to correct itself before it goes back for a msft band. All in all I rate it a ZERO right now.

I got my Blaze in the mail yesterday and tried to sync and continued to get the error message "that bluetooth sync is busy try again later"... that went on for over an hour. Mine finally syncs but the date and time are wrong. 20 minutes fast and stuck on January 1st as well.

Fitbit has until tomorrow to download bug/fix or I am sending it back. This is to expensivre to have to deal with these issues right out of the box!

well just went out to buy a fitbit blaze and cant even get my mac books bluetooth to find it and sync with. Whenever i click the left button on my fitbit blaze all it does it say fitbit.com/setup. Which i have proceeded to do and am now at the sync screen of the setup process, on my macbook. It seems to me that my fitbit may technically not even be on yet, does it need to charge and power up for computer to find? If so, the fact that i have it plugged in via usb cord, shouldnt it at least say it is charging

there is no reason so many of us should be having problems. syncing and getting this thing to turn on should be a quite simple process

@RMasonFIT, if the Blaze is saying Fitbit.com/setup then no there will not be any notice that it is charging. Since the screen is showing this message than yes it is alive.
I know the cable will Sync and setup the Blaze with a Win10 computer but I'm not sure if it will work with a Mac. My thoughts would be to use the phone. Other than that I would contact Fitbit, since I think you'll need there dongle, the connect software is unable to use your Macs BT.

the setup through computer first, being a mac book, you will need a dongle
