Fitbit Blaze won't pair with iphone 6

I've found that my Fitbit Blaze won't pair and sync with iPhone 6 running iOS 10 or later. I googled the issue and found that this is a commonly known problem that doesn't seem fixable. Works fine on my iPhone 5C running iOS 10.0.2. When will Fitbit resolve this problem?

Hi @FerdinandFitbit and @Kmransom123. Thanks for helping guys. I've been given back the iPhone 6 to try again. I've uploaded all my photos from the 5c to icloud so I don't lose them when I reset the device to hand it back in....so everything I need is backed up.

I have the Fitbit app on the 5c. Should I removed the Blaze in the device's Settings > Bluetooth > Blaze > (i) > "Forget This Device" first and then after that, open the app on that device and in the top left corner of the Blaze icon appears, open that, scroll down and run "Remove This Blaze"?

I guess this aught to unpair the 5c and the Blaze and remove it from my Fitbit app. Have I got this sequence right? It would still exist in my Fitbit account though?

As @Kmransom123 says, you shouldn't have any problem setting up your tracker to your iPhone 6. I can recommend that if you'll try it again, make sure to go into your Bluetooth settings on your previous phone, look for the Fitbit Blaze, and choose the "Forget Device" option.

After that, try to set it up on your iPhone 6 and see how it goes.

Let us know if that works.

@GreenRiddler  You should be able to as I am on an IPhone 6 Plus running IOS 10 and have no issues.  Is your Iphone 5C still nearby?  If so, it is probably bonded and paired to it.    What kind of error(s) are you experiencing?

The 5c is the work phone. They gave me a iPhone 6 to upgrade me, but due to the pairing/sync problem, I reset (wiped) it and gave it back, preferring to stick with the 5c which I know works. Perhaps at work tomorrow, I can see if I can have the 6 again and try a few things before I give up forever. I must say I found the thought of any Fitbit tracker being incompatable with any model after 5c disappointing. As you say though, perhaps it isn't so.

Hello @Shilohstocksdal my first thought would be to restart the tracker and the phone.. Also go into your phones Bluetooth and make sure your Blaze is not paired.

Does your tracker still have the www.fitbit.com/setuo message on the display

@Shilohstocksdal thanks for joining us! I would follow @Rich_Laue's advice of restarting your phone and your tracker. To restart your Blaze:

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your tracker doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my tracker? to turn Blaze off and back on again.

After the restart try to pair your tracker and post back with the outcome! Good luck. Smiley Happy

Hey guys,

i just opened my blaze charged it while I was at work and I came back to the "fitbit.com/setup" screen. I downloaded the Fitbit app and it can't seem to find my blaze at all, keeps asking if it's powered on, which it is. I tried restarting the tracker and restarting Bluetooth on my phone and it still didn't find it. I feel like I've run out of options? The iPhone software is up to date to the most recent update. Thanks!

Hey there @Blazesyncissue! Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems getting started with your Fitbit Blaze. Let me give you a hand here!

If you're iPhone is an iPhone 4S or newer, it should totally be compatible for you to set up your tracker. I'd recommend making sure that you're restarting your tracker by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and after that, you can proceed with the Setup process. Be sure you're doing this from the Fitbit app and not from your buetooth settings on your phone directly.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

If it doesn't work, are you getting any message specifically when it doesn't find your tracker? If so, what does it say?

Let me know if you need more help with this!
