Fitbit Thermometer icon

I have a temperature icon on the home screen that will not let me do anything with the Fitbit (charge, display, time, etc...)  The Fitbit was not in any condition that would cause it to overheat and I have never seen this notification before yesterday.  Please let me know if anyone has had this happen and how to fix.  Thanks all!

Hi, @CJQ13, you will see the thermometer icon if the Fitbit has either got too hot or too cold.  While it is displayed you will not be able to do anything with it.

Usually it will disappear, and normal functions will return, after some time if you leave it at normal room temperature.  How long has yours been displaying this icon?

If it has been more than several hours you might want to try a restart, as it is almost certainly now at a safe temperature.  Restart procedures here.  If it does not seem to work the first time, please repeat the procedure two or three times more.

Let us know how it goes.  Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the quick reply.  The icon has been there since last evening.  There were no conditions that should have caused a fluctuation in temperature.  I tried to charge it for an hour and a half this morning and still showing the same icon.  I cannot do anything with it at this point.  I have tried to restart and every other basic troubleshooting with no response.  I have pretty much relied on it everyday since I bought it.  i used to wear several different watches but love the Blaze and really upset that I cant get it to work.  Please help!!!

Hi, @CJQ13, if it has been that long, and you are still unable to restart, I would suggest getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support at contact.fotbit.com . They have the tools to look into this more deeply.

Good luck!

The other thing to try would be a search of the board, I'm sure you are not the first to experience this.

@Rich_Laue, yes, many people have had that issue (I have had it!).  But I have never heard of it persisting over a couple of days.  It should go away when the Fitbit returns to a normal temperature or after a restart  I think in that case I think my advice to contact support is in order.
