Hi, my wife bought a Fitbit Charge 2 and a week later I bought a Fitbit Blaze. I use a Bluetooth speaker in my car that only my mobile is paired with but a few days ago before I bought my Blaze my wife got a call on her mobile while we where driving and it came in on my Bluetooth speaker which puzzled us both as her mobile has never been paired to the Bluetooth speaker. We dismissed it as "one of those things".
Today I was in my garden workshop wood turning, I have a small android tablet wall mounted and a Bluetooth speaker which is paired to the tablet so I can watch/listen to YouTube videos and Netflix shows while I busy myself. Today I turned on this tablet and the Bluetooth speaker as I always do but the tablet would not connect to the speaker? I was a while trying to fix it and only when looking at my mobile did I find the problem. My mobile had automatically connected to the Bluetooth speaker in my workshop despite never having been paired to it?
Both these unwanted connections to Bluetooth speakers on my mobile and my wife's mobile have only happened since installing the Fitbit app. I do not want to be constantly connecting to other peoples Bluetooth systems in cars or homes all the time. This is happening on both our mobiles so it isn't an isolated incident. My mobile is a Samsung S7 and my wife's is an Xperia Z3.
Any help would be great as this could be a deal breaker if unfixable 😞

A warm welcome to the Community @MikeSpeakman.
It is weird to hear that your Bluetooth devices are connecting automatically with your phones, I don't think the Fitbit app is affecting this, since keep in mind that your phones will connect automatically with Bluetooth devices if you have set them up in your Bluetooth settings. My recommendation here is to double check your phone's Bluetooth settings and verify that you have paired the devices you prefer.
Let me know the outcome.

This has been a problem ever since the update was pushed out this week. Ever since that update, there is the problem described here as well as the ap no longer being able to find the tracker when I want to sync data...only when the AP wants to sync on some arbitrary schedule. It has been horrendous ever since the update and needs to be fixed. There are reviews on many websites talking about this issue, and I have spoken to numerous people I know with the devices and they are having the same problem. I disconnected my Blaze, uninstalled the ap, turned off the Blaze, turned off the bluetooth on phone, and turned off phone. I reinstalled and reconnected everything as if I had just purchased it. No change. Makes me want to return it because this is NOT what I paid $200 for. The ap needs to be fixed.

I can say with 100% certainty that it is not a problem with my mobile settings. I am quite tech savvy and have been using blue tooth speakers and car hands free systems for several years without issue or ever connecting without first pairing.
I am heartened to hear it isn't just us this is happening too and hopefully a future update will fix it.
Can you imagine stopping at traffic lights and connecting to the blue tooth hands free in the car alongside you then getting a call? 😂
That could be embarrassing 😉

That's exactly what is happening at the gym. No one with a Fitbit can listen to their own music devices without a corded headset because everyone's bluetooth is interfering with everyone's devices. It was a very unproductive day at the gym the first day it happened as initially we thought the facility turned something on...what a group discussion THAT was!

Hello all, I purchased the blaze about 2 weeks ago, 2 days ago I noticed the tracker stopped working, couldn't figure out why, I uninstalled the app, reinstalled n it still doesn't work. I thought to check to see if there was a fix n discovered this community of people that are having the same problem or similar. I'm disappointed to have spent $200 dollars for a device which requires an app that doesn't function. Fix the problem
