Each time I wake up my fitbit blaze says I've burnt 667 calories or around that number. Ive seen other people ask about this but they are saying about 100 calories. I know your body burns calories anyway without exercise but I just thought 667 during my sleeping time is a bit much. I was just wondering if anybody elses calorie burner was this high when they wake up. I do exercise and walk pretty much everyday so my calories what I burn are around 3600 or more a day this is with exercise implemented. I dont know if the fitbit blaze is doing a accurate reading. As i know I don't eat 3600 calories within a day. What's means I would be shredding weight if so. Be good for some knowledge or backup of the product as I love the product few features I would change but it's a good little motivator. Fitstar exercise are good but would like more.

The BMR calories that you burn when asleep are burnt at a constant rate day and night and only depend on your profile settings (age, weight etc) - they do not vary depending on your activity but you get additional calories based on your activity.

667 doesn't sound unreasonable to me but it does of course depend on when you get up and your profile settings. It might be worth double checking them if you feel the BMR calories are too high:

@Chead go to MyFitnessPal and use the BMR calculator:

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator

I get 1842 calories per day. Divide by 24 -- 1842/24 = 77 calories per hour

Ok, just being alive I burn ~77 calories per hour. If I sleep 8 hours (ha ha), then I burn approximately 616 calories.
