I've started noticing that my blaze is not tracking the steps which I'm not marching my arms for. If I don't extend my arms all the way, those steps are not calculated. The other day at Costco not even a single step got calculated while I was pushing the cart. It was not the case before. I have reset and shutdown my blaze also.
Please help.

When holding on to something like the cart at Costco it will not count steps. It needs to see the arms swinging.
When I go to the store I put my device in my pocket so it counts the steps

Best AnswerI recently noticed this as well. My friend's newer FitBit logged ~8,500 steps for our hour long jog/walk while mine only logged ~4,500 steps. Seemed weird we were together the entire time and she got almost double my steps. I was only holding my keys and I definitely swung my arms, and I've never had it fail to log before.
I'm having the same sort of issue, spotted over the last few days.
I can take 20-60 steps before my Blaze starts logging them, if that makes sense?!
It happens at random times. I could be out on a long walk and notice when I look at the time, or I can be just walking around at home.
Nothing to do with the arm swing because all of a sudden it kicks in and I can see them clocking up! Extremely annoying!
