Fitbit blaze steps keep increasing even when I'm not moving or wearing tracker

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My tracker has been inaccurately recording steps, with my count increasing when I am not moving and even now wearing. I've also been seeing the "clock error" screen at times. I have tried shutting the tracker down, resetting, and removing the blaze from my account and re-adding. Please help! Its such an expensive device for only working for a couple weeks!

Please do a restart on your fitbit and see if that helps:

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your tracker doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my tracker? to turn Blaze off and back on again.

If this does not solve your issue, please contact support so they can see if it's anything in the device.

I have already tried both of these things as stated in my initial post.

Are you using the Fitbit app and the steps are appearing on that rather than the Blaze? Just wondering if your phone is set to count steps as well so they're being recorded from when you're carrying it around rather than the Blaze?
