Fitbit face blank but still recording steps

Went to charge my blaze after several weeks of not using it. The face continues to stay black and the green sensors are not responding when I move it around. I tried synching it to my app and it is recording the steps, which is very strange. I tried resetting it by the manual’s steps and no response from the screen and no vibration. How can I fix it?

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.
