Fitbit not recording kilometres correctly

Hi Fitbit community, my Fitbit blaze is not recording KM correctly. I trained for a 1/2 marathon originally using my Record app and then switched to training with my Fitbit blaze. I noticed my ks were much quicker. Anyway I ran the 1/2 with my fit bit telling me I had run 24 ks. Clearly I had only run 21 ks. Is there a setting I can change to make it record ks more accurately?

It depends...

If you use your Blaze and Connected GPS with your smart phone, then there really isn't much you can do; the distance calculated should be pretty close.

If you use your Blaze by itself then it must convert your step count into some sort of distance via a calculation.  Said calculation is based upon your "Running Stride Length" setting in your profile; the thing is, if you're like the rest of us runners, your stride length will change from run to run, and often within a run (especially if there are a lot of hills).  Case in point, my typical daily run is just a hair over 16 km, however, my step count ranges from a low of 13,000 steps (when running at race pace) through a high of more than 17,000 steps (on a cold rainy/snowy day).
