Fitbit to sync with iOS Health app

Why isn't any fitbit wristband/watch compatible with iOS Health app? As a health pormoting/monitoring accessory the devs could actually work on the 3 years old now Health app integration to recognise fitbit devices.

This would be a very usefull feature to have especially integrating with medical ID could be a ground breaking move and quite a popular accessory to buy along with iPhone.  A nice marketing opportunity for fitbit to be mentioned as partners for the Health app imporvement in any Apple announcement.

Thanks

I'm not sure why they don't link - perhaps fitbit consider apple to be a competitor in this space.

You are not alone in wanting this though. There is a popular feature request for it and if you'd like to add your vote you can find it here:

Apple Health integration is #1 request - the highest number of votes on the feature request forum. Health currently has 3353 votes which is 500+ more than #2 (idle alert / reminder to move).
