Flashing Fitbit Icon

I just received my fitbit and when trying to set it up, it only will flash the Fitbit Logo on the screen. My phone won't recognize the blaze either and when I put it in the charging dock it still will only flash the Logo.

 

I've tried the hard reset by holding down the right buttons and still nothing changes.

 

Did I receive a defeective device?
