Floors Count is Off

I got the update yesterday and now my Blaze is not counting floors accurately. I have stairs in my house and usually get 12-15 floors per day. Today, I have 3, and I know I've been up the stairs more than that. Has anyone else noticed a change?

It's great to see you around @mimichic. If your tracker is not being accurate, I recommend Restarting your Blaze and test it during the day. If the number of floors still inaccurate, feel free to contact our Support Team, since they have the proper tools to see the information that your tracker is registering. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Mine tracks more stairs than I go up!

When my tracker is tighter, it gives more stairs but my HR is accurate. When it's looser, the stairs are accurate, but the HR is not. LOL

mine usually will give me more stairs in certain weather which was explained to me when i used the ONE model, but my current Blaze did not track any stairs the other day after the update and yes, I have restarted it.  I have not used the stairs at work today but will check shortly.

I too was getting more flights in a day than I was doing. I work on the second floor in my office building, so I typically take the stairs at the same intervals daily. I was noticing that I had flights logged when I know I was at my desk on my floor the whole time.
Restarting did not help the fix as I noticed it randomly on different days doing this.
I haven't paid much attention since the update; I will have to pay more attention to see if it's still doing it....

Hello @Walelia222@Fands@mimichic and @Heidstirr! Hope you are having a great day 🙂   your tracker measures floors, it detects floors using an altimeter, which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Though your tracker is designed to look for pressure changes based on elevation gains, pressure changes due to other causes—such as a gust of wind, a weather change, or opening a door—can occasionally cause your tracker to register an extra floor or two. Another factor is floor height. Your tracks registers one floor when you’ve gone up about ten feet, which is the average between residential and commercial floor heights. If you climb long staircases you may find that the tracker’s floor count doesn’t match how many floors you’ve gone up since the staircase was taller than ten feet.

Hope this helps! 🙂

I once got 600 floors in while walking around a one story house, but Hurricane Samdy came through and the air pressure dropped to 28.3 inches of mercury
