Food Barcode scanner

Hi.

Just bought a blaze, like it so far, but the food scanner doesn't seem as good as my fitness pal (MFP). So far I've had a few foods that the blaze hasn't found, so I have to enter them all manually, but if I scan with MFP it finds them immediately.

So I can see that I can link the fitbit app, and MFP, which I've done and it says for it to work effectively I need to log my exercise only on MFP, so what's the point of having a blaze, if I have to not use it for exercise and log this on MFP, I just want one device that will record everything and sync with an app.

So do I un link my blaze and MFP?

Is the blaze food scanner not that good?

Appreciate your thoughts.

What phone is the Fitbit app on, the Blaze does not have a Barco device scanner.

From what I've read, about two years ago the Fitbit app food scanner got good enough that some users stopped logging food through MFP.

If the two are connected, the food that is logged into MFP will be synced to Fitbit.
