Found holes in the charging terminals on the back of my blaze. I have only had it 15 months.

@akaJackson are you sure they are holes, and not just the spot where the Charging contacts touch the pins.I have little black dots at the point of contact.

You could send the photo to Fitbit support. They only look like they are in the plating, and not through the pin.

I have the same problem and it will not charge. Fitbit is unwilling to do anything about it.

Mine did the same thing and won’t charge at all. Not impressed

Had the same problem with mine - not even 2 years old and now won't charge. Tried a couple of different charger styles as well, no help.

Ugh, that’s disappointing to hear. Same problem on mine, and I’ve had it for less than two years. Really bad design. Between the easily broken plastic bands of their older models to their unwilling customer service for this pitting problem on the contacts, I’m losing faith in Fitbit, the company. At least I got mine at Costco, so I’m not completely out of luck. Maybe it’s time to look at other brands.

I have the same issue after 2.5 years of use. If i wash the contacts with alcohol it charges a bit. Clearly a design fault and the new devices seem to have the same design. Wake up Fitbit! Fix the problem!

Ate they really holes, or are they dirty contacts?

I am on my second blaze. Only had this one less than a year and it looks like it going to have the same problem.

My guess is the the holes are created by a mix of electric current and salt on the contacts (caused by normal contact with human skin). This is probably causing a quicker than normal corrosion.
My guess is that everyone with this problem is someone who exercises and sweats on the contacts a lot. (This of course is a totally normal usage and what the product should be designed for.)
I'm happy to send in my device for inspection and have contacted customer support to offer this.

Anybody find a fix or any luck with Customer Service? Their solution for me is to buy another Fitbit. Not going to happen if it only last 2 years.

Incidentally, I opened mine up just to see if I can replace the back with the back of a used one (since it's out of warranty, anyway), and I found that the pitting goes beyond just the back. Despite the posts on the back of the Fitbit only having the pitting on the outside, somehow, the pitting was also transferred to the contact on the circuit board. Really disappointing to see this.
