Gender on App different than Profile

My profile online is set to female, however in my app, it shows me male benchmarks. Are there not female benchmarks?  I've reset the tracker, Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, switched back and forth from female to male and back to female on my account online, and reset my phone and Bluetooth each time.

Hi @Dana_Almester,

Which benchmarks are you referring to?

As to your issue, I would go into the app settings, then Edit Profile, and see if it's set wrong there. It may not be communicating with the fitbit.com dashboard to update.

It's in the new sleep function; but I have seen screenshots of others that say female so I know it must exist haha.  When I go to edit profile in the app, gender isn't someththing that shows up to change anymore? I know it used to be.

OK, I just wanted to make sure that it's this:

I actually don't see anywhere besides the profile to set gender for that. I tried flipping my gender last night but the sleep still shows me as male. It might be something to open a ticket with support on (contact.fitbit.com) or maybe someone who knows more than I will chime in?

Thanks! I'll give it a day or two to see if anyone knows and then I'll open and ticket. It's not a huge deal, just a annoying because I like the stats haha

I am having the same issue and can't get it resolved. If you go online you can log in and update gender profile, but I can't get it to sync to the app.

@Kristy707to702 could you be  logging into one account through the web page, and snother account inthe app?

You can also chsnge the gender through the phones web browser.

I am having the same problem. It says my heart rate / fitness is excellent for women of my age but last time I looked I was a man ! I have changed it on the web but my app doesn't respond . There is no where to change it in the app it self!

Have you tried logging out and back in on the app @Timgilp

Thanks Rich,

Did that. Now it says connect to internet for historic data. I am sending this on the self same iPhone which is of course connected to the internet. Instead of exercising I am spending all my time trying to sort this out !

I was getting the incorrect gender on my iphone as well. I looked on the fitbit.com profile and it was correct. I logged out of the app on my iphone and logged back in and that seemed to correct the problem.

After I changed my gender on my account, I logged out of the App on my Android phone, logged back in and that solved the problem.  I'm male again!
